During the February 2025 BTO launch, &nbsp;two new BTOs dropped in the upcoming Chencharu estate: Chencharu Green and Chencharu Vines. To recap, this new 7-hectare estate in Yishun was introduced in June 2024 and will have 80% of its area designated for residential use.&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:1200/675;" src="https://d213h1b7vxzzl3.cloudfront.net/editor/b3ce1a12-9519-4406-8a50-da05fd11c56a-blob" width="1200" height="675"></figure>The upcoming Chencharu estate is located in YishunIn terms of public transportation to the area, we have Khatib MRT station. Based on my calculation, it should take less than 15 mins by foot to get from the station to both the BTOs. But there’s going to be a new bus-only road (marked in purple on the BTO site maps) that runs through the Chencharu estate that will help with public transportation options in the area.&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:1200/675;" src="https://d213h1b7vxzzl3.cloudfront.net/editor/b0e8724e-7e10-4662-992b-5de12f8875db-blob" width="1200" height="675"></figure>Khatib MRT station should take less than a 15-min walk to get to from both BTOs&nbsp;&nbsp;Then there’s also the upcoming North-South Corridor expressway located on the current Sembawang Road that is set to be completed in phases from 2027. This will help connect you to areas like Toa Payoh and Novena, and will also come with green areas and dedicated walking nd cycling lanes that will give you more recreational options.Like all new estates, there aren’t a whole lot of amenities at the moment. But there are definitely things to look forward to.&nbsp;Upcoming amenities in the estate include an integrated development nearby that will house a bus interchange as well as a hawker centre. There’s also going to be a neighbourhood park in the area for some outdoor time.Because Chencharu Vines is a bit further away from the integrated development, it will house its own supermarket, eating house and several shops within its own BTO site. These will be located along Bah Soon Pah Road.It might take a bit of time before you can really make the most of all the amenities in Chencharu. It's kind of like how the first residents in new town Tengah had to wait a bit before everything was up and running smoothly. Just something to keep in mind if you do decide to get a unit at either Chencharu Green or Chencharu Vines.As you wait for the amenities to come up, you can do your daily groceries at the Giant supermarket at Khatib MRT station and get your day-to-day meals at the coffeeshop located near block 807, both of which are walking distance from both the BTOs.&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:1200/675;" src="https://d213h1b7vxzzl3.cloudfront.net/editor/d6f6d24c-3122-4ed0-be0b-94a007f7e1ff-blob" width="1200" height="675"></figure>A Giant supermarket located at Khatib MRT station&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:1200/675;" src="https://d213h1b7vxzzl3.cloudfront.net/editor/578af3a4-25ab-4da9-b7bf-137465b0ce53-blob" width="1200" height="675"></figure>A small coffee shop (and a handful of retail shops) nearby provides basic convenience for now&nbsp;&nbsp;Potentially, there are two primary schools that may fall within the 1-km radius, depending on whether you are taking a unit at Chencharu Green or Chencharu Vines. These primary schools include Peiying Primary School and Jiemin Primary School.
