According to the HDB map, there are plans for more residential developments to the north of the site. The Ang Mo Kio Library, located next to Central Trio, is set to be replaced by a high-rise building in the future, although it’s not yet clear if it will be for residential purposes. You’ll find plenty of coffee shops, a wet market, supermarkets, a hawker centre, and other services and retail shops options all around, including malls, both big and small. Highlights include AMK Hub and the Ang Mo Kio Central Market &amp; Food Centre. Both Ang Mo Kio and Yio Chu Kang MRTs are within a 15-20 min walk. You’ll have to weave through the town centre for the former, while the latter is a bit more straightforward although you’ll have to cross a few bigger road junctions. Come 2030, Ang Mo Kio will also serve as an interchange for the Cross-Island Line.&nbsp;&nbsp;<figure class="image"><img style="aspect-ratio:1200/675;" src="https://d213h1b7vxzzl3.cloudfront.net/editor/26a5e272-b7f0-486a-838a-a6442325d180-blob" width="1200" height="675"></figure>The BTO's also within walking distance to Yio Chu Kang MRT station&nbsp;When I was there recently, the whole area was still full of construction going on. It’s mostly because of the <a href="https://www.lta.gov.sg/content/ltagov/en/upcoming_projects/road_commuter_facilities/north_south_corridor.html">North-South Corridor (NSC)</a> being built along Ang Mo Kio Ave 6, just west of the BTO. Type 1 units are more affordable but smaller, whereas Type 2 units are priced higher but have extra space, usually allowing you to include a small guest room even.For privacy: All the 2-room units don’t have absolute privacy, unfortunately. Your best bet would be 133, 135, 137 or 139. Although they aren’t corner units, they are at least away from the lift lobbies and rubbish chutes.For unblocked views: Your best option would be stacks 117 and 119. But pick a unit on a floor higher than the 5th floor, since they face a 5-storey carpark.For peace and quiet: I'd probably go with either stacks 117 or 119. While they do face a roundabout, the road is pretty small so I don't think there will be too much traffic.
