Renowned Singaporean architecture firm WOHA’s latest venture is condominium project The Tre Ver, whose name is derived from the words “tree” and “river”. Like with their other developments, this project is set to be a garden oasis amidst the grey concrete.
You might have seen the firm's most famed architectural project in downtown Singapore. With cascading luxuriant ledges of sky gardens and ridges that resemble the undulating rims of the Grand Canyon, high-end hotel Parkroyal on Pickering is a sight to behold in the urbanscape. Also among their repertoire are Oasis Hotel Downtown, another iconic hotel whose aluminium red mesh façade provides the backdrop to 21 different species of creepers, as well as BTO project Skyville@Dawson, where each unit takes in an abundant of light and air thanks to the openings built on all sides.
Like with these buildings, The Tre Ver will be green as part of WOHA’s commitment and efforts to fill the Singapore landscape with vertical ecosystems. But beyond sustainability, the development is also jam-packed with amenities and features fit for luxury living.

The Tre Ver opened for a preview in late July to much buzz. Units go on sale from 4 August 2018. Prices range from S$738,000 for a one-bedroom to S$2.08 million onwards for a four-bedroom.

<h2>A green paradise</h2>

With the location to their advantage—The Tre Ver overlooks the Kallang River—WOHA created a development that is very much in tuned with its verdant surroundings. Founder Wong Mun Summ describes the site like this: “It’s almost going to be difficult to see where the building starts and where it ends because it’s so well integrated with the landscape. What you get are homes that are planted on a beautiful landscape rather than built on just a hard, concrete surface.”

Besides being immersed in greenery and lush waterscapes, it will also see the buildings themselves plastered in cascading climbers that will help to cool down overall temperatures. Buildings will also be built in a way so as to encourage light and ventilation to move around freely throughout the site.

<h2>Features and amenities</h2>
A 250-metre sky loft will stretch the length of the entire plot, joining together the nine buildings on the site. It will feature pavilions with barbeque pits, activity alcoves and fitness stations to encourage community engagement.

Community-centred nooks are one of the many amenities within the new condominium.
The three swimming pools within the development are entertainment hubs in and of themselves. The Gallery Pool for instance will serve as the base for the clubhouse, which will see a dining suite, music room and a library. The Plaza Pool will comprise bubble and hammock islands, in addition to an infinity pool and an aqua gym, while the Lounge Pool will feature Jacuzzi beds and water swings.

In keeping with the green theme, the condominium will also see an herb garden, a web of rain trees, hilly trails as well a waterfall garden.

Transportation: The site is located between Woodleigh and Potong Pasir MRT stations, both of which are in the North-East line. The stations, just a few stations away from downtown Singapore, are both within walking distance from the condominium, needing just under 20 minutes by foot. For drivers, The Tre Ver also connects easily to the CTE and PIE, enabling you to reach neighbourhoods like Toa Payoh and Bishan quickly.
Retail and shopping: The up-and-coming Poiz Centre is located just next to Potong Pasir MRT. The mixed-use development will see a wide variety of food and retail options with up to 84 shops. Next to Woodleigh MRT will be the Woodleigh Mall, another mixed-use development that is scheduled for completion in 2022. Reaching Serangoon Central (where the massive Nex Shopping Mall is located) and Toa Payoh Central will only take a 10- and 15-minute drive respectively.
Schools: In terms of primary schools, St Andrew’s Junior School and Pei Chun Public School are nearby. For secondary schools, there is St Andrew’s Secondary School.
Leisure: The Tre Ver sits right outside the Central Urban Park Connector Loop, which links you all the way to Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park, Punggol Park as well as the Whampoa neighbourhood. You will also get to enjoy the future amenities available at the soon-to-be-bustling Bidadari neighbourhood, including the 10-ha Bidadari Park.

Choose between Tower Blocks or Garden Blocks. The former if you prefer far-reaching views and the latter if you want to be closer to the verdant landscape. The highest level for Tower Blocks reaches all the way to the 20th floor while the highest level on for Garden Blocks is the seventh floor. Select from 1-bedroom studios to 4-bedroom apartments.
